Dream Stream Session

(very thankful for yet another photo

Here I'm grateful to be able to bring to you a live recording from To the Ends of the Verse freestyle sessions @ Open Studio upon the 17th of Feb 2015. Within its funky jazzy confines brought to you by the 7 piece band the Square Roots, we have a paper born abstract poem by yours truly that explores the idea of humanity as a river changing things down stream while also experiencing bliss in the now. What follows is a brilliant freestyle response from the dread-less, dead-less, dreaded rappers Alex Willey and Josh 'Shua'li' Buckle.

Cycle

This poem as performed last night at To the Ends of the Verse @ Open Studio, notes the strange similarity between humanity drifting apart, and the fact that the universe itself is drifting apart. And where so it attempts to strengthen the message; that the powers of communication we all have in this drifting has grown, evolved inherently. For beyond social media and the mad propaganda separations that we all face, there is the fact that thought and truth combined is a collective force, still there guiding us towards a sustainable way of being within community. O an a shout out to Ryou for the music; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcAiayke00I.

Like it's Reigning outside

This is yet another ode to the future generations and the hope we'll all pull things around. Have you ever been to a protest? If not go! Whatever your current-zeitgeist good-will formula. If so, keep it up! This is a poem that recognizes the broken beats in the protest march where words and information complexity might get through, yet become stuck in silence or absence. A poem that recognizes that these things might be fixed and this future change we're after starts in coffee shops and the immense creativity of our children's grass roots community. Thanks to Weird Owl and all other bands I've used previously for the tunes...
